A day of records...
Manning 7 seasons of 4000+ yards.
Clark most yards by any colt's TE.
Harrison #2 on the most receptions by a WR (passing Chris Carter).
The kicker has 99 points on the season - one more and he will have something like 10 years of 100+ points per season.
Dungy has made the playoffs for 10 str8 years (including his time with Tampa Bay).
All in all... we colts fans have been blessed for quite a few years. I think about that when i talk to a fan of other teams. With the exception of New England there is no other team that has the recent history of success... year after year after year that we do.
Nice.
Obviously a shame there is only one SuperBowl included in that mix..

Come on FOX...
Fox which plays the NFC games is currently not playing a 1pm game.
CBS which plays the AFC games is currently playing the Colts game... But after Manning picked up his 4000 yards the backup came in.
The Colts are up - but the outcome of the game doesn't matter as Tenn is already the Number 1 seed and the Colts have the #5 seed locked up.
SO it would be nice to see one of the games that 'matter' ... at least one of the NFC games that matter - Bears perhaps? OR what about the Lions game... i care more about watching them lose EVERY GAME this season then i do the colts game...
but... Sorgi IS looking good...

i'm not quite dead...
Yeah. So this has really died down since the job happened.
Can't say i'm shocked... the amount of reading has also died off... yet i haven't stopped buying books to corraspond (sp - not gonna look it up or even care - deal with it - mostly because that is the way it SHOULD be spelled)...
So... i just got a cute little notebook for really cheap... of course now i reallize there are lots of cute little notebooks in the 200-400 range... i've had it for 4 days and i still like it... make of that what you will.
needless to say there should be more blooggage now that i have this.
but perhaps not.
I mean i can't really talk about what i do at work... since most of it is boring and the other half is protected. i could make a list of the most hated judges... but i really like the judges i'm in front of ... and i'm not really doing any cutting egde legal work that would impress or inspire anyone.
So... right now ... i'll just related a recent experience in song... (this part to the tune of S&G's Still Crazy (after all these years)...
I met my old lover in Chicago last month
I seemed so happy to see her
she just smiled
we talked about some old times
and had a bunch of wine (and beer and rum and...)
still ****** after all these years...
(the *'s represent her name... but i'm not gonna post that... )

This was the first year...
That i didn't eat a bit of turkey.
None.
And yet ... i've still felt really tired as of late... so i can't blame it on the lack of the bird.
Thankgiving is always a bit of a strange time for me. Namely it was never really a holiday that i'd look forward to. It just wasn't.
AND added to that 3 years ago thankgiving break was the last time i saw dad.
Not that that really means anything - perhaps it is just an exuse i make. So it goes.
And so it goes.
None.

Things they don't teach you in law school...
So... The problem with being the Plaintiff is that A) you have the burden of proof and B) you have to go first.
AND you also might have a client who isn't gonna spend all they can to win... this is something they don't teach you in law school.. the problem that the client has to do a cost benefit analysis to determine who to send to the trial and whatnot.
So. I had a trial on friday. In which in the D's opening statement he laid out what the issue was. It was clear - my second witness laid waste to his side of things. His rebuttal was ... useless. All was well.
OH. Until his client came to the stand and lied thru his freaking teeth. It was completely opposed to what his atty said in his opening.
My cross? Pathic. I didn't even know what to ask... i mean... here is this guy who can't tell the truth.. has chewing tabbaco in his mouth and knows everyone in the court house on a personal basis (nothing like getting home-towned).
The judge has a practice of having final arguments in written form turned in two weeks later (so i suppose the trial isn't really 'over') and i think i'll make some great points (namely we all know this guy knows the truth like he knows soap)
Needless to say.. my first real trial... not a thing you'd want to tell the kids about.
BUT the real problem was not having the right witness there... but i can't talk about why that was.. just that it was.

Even Yahoo has lost hope...
So i'm doing work or eating or whatever i'm doing... and realize that IU is playing Wake Forest tonight.
I have a computer but no TV around - so i check the stats... This is a cut and paste from Yahoo's stat tracker for the game... (it updates in real time to the soonest is at top)
:00.0 Halftime
:01.7 Defensive rebound
:01.7 Wake Forest - Harvey Hale misses an 11-foot jumper
:26.5 Wake Forest - Full timeout (Timeout #1)
:51.0 Wake Forest - James Johnson makes a 21-foot three-pointer
1:04 Defensive rebound
1:04 Indiana - Kyle Taber misses a 999-foot three-pointer
1:28 Nick Williams defensive rebound
1:28 Wake Forest - Al-Farouq Aminu misses a 23-foot three-pointer
1:47 Indiana - Layup by Kyle Taber
Yeah.
Nothing strange there except Kyle Taber took a 999-FOOT three pointer.
I'm a little confused how he was still in bounds ... as that is 111-yard attempt ...
conclusion.. even yahoo doesn't care about the stats on this game...
